Born in 1922 in Magenta, Italy, Gianna became a doctor specializing in pediatrics in 1949 and was deeply committed to social and medical care, embodying her Catholic faith in her professional and personal life.

Gianna married Pietro Molla in 1955 and the couple had three children. In 1961, during her fourth pregnancy, Gianna was diagnosed with a fibroma in her uterus. She was given three choices: an abortion, a complete hysterectomy, or surgery to remove the fibroma. Opting to preserve her unborn child’s life, she chose surgery to remove the tumor despite knowing the continued risks to her own health. Gianna successfully delivered her daughter Gianna Emanuela but developed septic peritonitis. She died a week after the birth in 1962.

Saint Gianna Beretta Molla was canonized in 2004 by Pope John Paul II. She is often hailed as a modern example of a pro-life advocate and is a patron saint for mothers, physicians, and unborn children. Her feast day is celebrated on April 28th.

____________________

For PERSONAL use only.

Personal License Restrictions:
- The resale or redistribution of this digital design in any digital format as a standalone product, including but not limited to PNG, JPEG, and other formats, is prohibited.
- Sharing this product with individuals who have not secured the rights to use or license for this product is prohibited.
- Including this artwork in image packs for the purpose of resale is prohibited.
- Modifying, adapting, or transforming this image with the intention of claiming ownership and reselling it as an original creation is not allowed.
____________________

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
We promise to address any concerns and will happily work with you to quickly resolve any issues.
