Saint Dymphna is a Christian saint revered in Catholic and Orthodox traditions, known as the patroness of those suffering from mental and neurological disorders, emotional distress, and those who are victims of incest. According to tradition, she was a 7th-century Irish princess who fled to Geel, Belgium, to escape her mentally ill father who had developed an incestuous desire for her after the death of her mother. Dymphna was ultimately martyred by her father when she refused his advances. Her feast day is celebrated on May 15th, and she is often invoked for healing and comfort in mental health issues.

We had no trouble downloading the print, and it looks lovely (at least at 5x7, which is what we wanted). We're going to frame it and add it to our family icon wall. It will look perfect next to even the most expensive of the icons.
