St. Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274) was an Italian Dominican friar, philosopher, Catholic priest, and Doctor of the Church. He is an immensely influential philosopher and theologian, best known for his integration of Aristotelian philosophy with Christian theology. Aquinas was a proponent of natural theology and is famous for his five proofs for the existence of God, as well as his concepts of the summa theologica and summa contra gentiles. His work laid the groundwork for much of Western philosophy and theology, particularly in areas concerning ethics, natural law, metaphysics, and political theory. Aquinas's teachings and writings have had a lasting impact on the Catholic Church, earning him the title of "Doctor Angelicus" for his profound and insightful contributions to Christian doctrine.

My fault for not noticing but the image of St Thomas is wrong. He is depicted as a lay brother (the black scapular is the clue) whereas he was a priest (and so his scapular should be white). So a bit embarrassing for me as I handed them out without looking carefully
